Still, half damage of damage implies damage. And I doubt whether protection from normal missiles does the trick.
On the other hand, meteor swarm might do it. Or a few fireballs.
True. But DnD (any edition) are not big on organs. It only affects whether you can suffer critical damage and sneak attacks.
In other words, half damage arrows can still be the bane of a lich with finite hit points.
Mind you, it’s been shown that enough blunt force can knock Lewie’s bones apart, but that’s not the same as breaking or destroying those bones, and he can be re-assembled reasonably quickly.
So Rich, do you wonder what if YAFGC was based on Warhammer universe (one where Elves, despite being arrogant, are manly with giant sword and battle axe, revenge-obsessed dwarves, and musket-wielding german humans)?
Always liked humans in 40k/Fantasy… ‘am german, though 😛
As to yafgc, you see so many different creatures, so many hints on games/series like warhammer, d&d etc. – i guess there is no "one base 4 the yafgc-universe" it’s more like a collected nerd-base 😛
Hello there; I don’t quite understand the question as stated, but if you’re asking if YAFGC is based on Warhammer, have to say no. Cy’x is correct in that it’s more like lots of different fantasy worlds merged together, though to be perfectly honest most of it has been based on my 1st and 2nd Ed. AD&D experiences, though I’m trying to stay away from too much of that. There are definite references to various old video games (like Dungeon Keeper), Lord of the Rings, and some others, but most of it is D&D, and I have very little experience with Warhammer.
Ooohhhhh…. well, in case that is what he meant, it would be pretty different because of the whole chaos magic thing. Could be interesting for an AU kinda thing.
Fang isn’t as stupid as people believe him to be: do you really believe he just ‘happens’ to show up where and when he is needed? and just ‘happens’ to figure out what is needed to turn the tide when even the great ‘brains’ are still struggling? o_O
ADD: arrows probably do half damage. And Lewie has finite hit points. The question is more: "Would the elves survive long enough to shoot enough arrows?"
1) Bows do not work? Bring forward the mighty Cleric/Paladins (or what elfs use to fight undead) Lewie… curse!
2) The elf run in terror and Lewie hunt them, please stop I will you no harm, and the tree die around him becuse of his power….and the elfs run faster….
Great comicstip!
That said, proficient archers should keep both eyes open when aiming and shooting. You can still sight ‘down’ the arrow, and you don’t lose depth perception to boot!
Cheers
Lewie!
…. well, its about damn time you showed up.
Piercing, half damage.
Still, half damage of damage implies damage. And I doubt whether protection from normal missiles does the trick.
On the other hand, meteor swarm might do it. Or a few fireballs.
Lewie has something they don’t: no vital organs! And the ability to regenerate his bones
True. But DnD (any edition) are not big on organs. It only affects whether you can suffer critical damage and sneak attacks.
In other words, half damage arrows can still be the bane of a lich with finite hit points.
Lewie is not just any lich. Game terms, I imagine he’s continued to build character levels, and add all kinds of extra protections to himself.
Plus, he’s Lewie!
Half damage to skeletons.
Zero damage to Liches.
Mind you, it’s been shown that enough blunt force can knock Lewie’s bones apart, but that’s not the same as breaking or destroying those bones, and he can be re-assembled reasonably quickly.
PS. You should get a Patreon account 😉
Been thinking about it.
I want to know what happens if he gets one in the eye socket.
t!
He becomes more annoyed.
Even more annoyed than if it goes up his nose-hole? o_O
XD Maybe, maybe not. How should I know?
You ever have a pea go up your nose? Or have a bogey that just won’t budge? o_O
To be fair, Lewie shouldn’t have any boogies. No mucus glands to make them.

Well, if you had to miss out on a Fantasy Game experience, that would be the one …. 😛
No, War_craft_ is the one to avoid, War_hammer_ is the proper version
actually, the Warcraft RTS is alright. it’s the MMO you have to avoid.
Yeah, meant WoW (still sucks that WAR didn’t last long :()
No, I think he meant "Have you ever thought about what [an alternate version of YAFGC based on the Warhammer Fantasy setting] would be like?"
Ooohhhhh…. well, in case that is what he meant, it would be pretty different because of the whole chaos magic thing. Could be interesting for an AU kinda thing.
im still waiting for the dread captain fang to seek his rightful title as king.
YES!!!
Duck King!
So he is going to get a goofy hair style, outrageous wardrobe, and know an odd fighting style?
Knowing Fang, he forgot *long* ago…
Fang isn’t as stupid as people believe him to be: do you really believe he just ‘happens’ to show up where and when he is needed? and just ‘happens’ to figure out what is needed to turn the tide when even the great ‘brains’ are still struggling? o_O
Of course he doesn’t just happen. The Great Comic Relief sends him.
You calling Rich the ‘comic relief’? o_O
Wouldn’t be the first time. I *was* the comic relief in a high school play back in 19mrflmrfl….
lol
It’s adorable that they think arrows will do anything to Lewie other than annoy and inconvenience him.
ADD: arrows probably do half damage. And Lewie has finite hit points. The question is more: "Would the elves survive long enough to shoot enough arrows?"
Actually now, Lichs take full damage from arrows. http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/lich.htm
No where does it mention half damage from arrows.
15/bludgeoning and magic
So it _have_ some resist from arrows too.
Huh. Apperantly, liches are not completely skeletal – at least in 3.5. Who knew?
Hummm this is hard to know what will hapen

3) They’ll talk?
That blond next to the princess looks shifty though, start with making that one talk first
Was missing good old Lewi
Or Lewie that is, cant spell apparently.
Maybe he wears ‘Lewi’ brand pants under his robe 😀

(deprived cat is deprived)
Sorry! Had a schedule issue. *pats kitty*
I was going to reply with a purring SFX, but then I decided that might be a bit icky.
Two updates when I arrived this morning – hooray!

At point blank range like that, is depth perception really needed?…
