He’s actually really thought it out. She has a cool head, was willing to risk her life for him already, and has the grace and social skills to be diplomatic, which he probably still.needs work on.
Isn’t she exaggerating a bit? She can’t be that much older than him, five or six years maybe.
on her part, that would be ‘female insecurity’ talking.

Maybe that cute Hobgoblin — Princess Hogga — is still available? She might make a good queen, after maturing some (and she does seem to have her head on better than her parents do).
She already passed on that offer (to stay in the palace with the standing of a human noblewoman… and thus be eligible for marriage to a king, as an eventual step 2.)
