"The healers have done what they can…"
"……..Do none of our healers know the Raise Dead spell?"
"Oh sure, lots of them do."
"…Then why are we pretending to be worried?"
"I dunno… script says this scene is supposed to be dramatic."
The game Neverwinter Nights 2 really annoyed me with this when one npc character had to be removed for story purposes. My character was a high level cleric standing next to the corpse, with more than enough strength to carry her out and then raise her, but no, the game says I have to leave her behind and then get abused by an npc relative for getting her killed.
Don’t shout at me, blame the miserable author, I’d have saved her!
Especially annoying since the raise dead spells pretty much don't serve their purpose in the main and X1-Campaigns since you can't raise any dead and the people the game allows you to "raise" don't actually die (unless you lose the fight – which is non-standard game over of course).
Well, that’s a twist on the ole’ Waking the dead 😀
well he has done that 2 ;P
If there’s one thing that Lewie IS good at, it’s waking the dead…By means unspecified.

CUUUUUT!
That’s the problem with all high fantasy stories.

People have to *want* to be raised from the dead. If she doesn't want to live, why would raise dead make any difference?
