This little quad of childhood friends, who haven’t seen each other for something like 5 years, and are just now meeting each other again?
WHY were they separated? Where did they GO for those years? Were they not all still living here the entire time in the Blackmountain Caverns, the same place as they were before?
I guess those ≈5 years disappeared into a plot hole?
There was an obvious political tension between drow and hobgoblin king, so it was reasonable not to send drow children to public schools.
However I do struggle with the very idea of public schools for mixed dark races in the first place since there are a lot of race specific cultural skills that wouldn't be taught there as they might have military application…
It is a valid tool for uniting races under one ruler though and it justifies moderate amount of tolerance between dark races dwelling in the mountain.
It does all raise questions about how a drow girl is growing up together with the gnolls and orcs. Don't drow take longer to mature than gnolls and orcs take to die of old age?
Awww… that makes me go all gushy inside
She’s a drow, should he be frightened?
Nope 🙂
not till she is a bit older
Not until she’s started her "Torture 101" courses.
…but her aim will improve with practice.
Here’s another question about "missing" him:

I’m guessing that due to the infighting, they were probably required to stay in specific parts of the caverns, close to their respective homes.
