No need! Jestering would fall under being a bard of a sort. Bards in 0e were introduced in "The Strategic Review", vol. II no. 1 #6, Feb 1976, pg. 11, with the salient line "…could be compared to a combination Thief-Illusionist." In 1e, a character became one by following a progression of fighter-thief-druid. When 2e/r decided to "clean up" the image, bards fell into the new "rogue" category. (I’m a little fuzzy on 3.x: they don’t qualify as rogues there, though there is some skill overlap; I know next to nothing about 4-6e.)
Our Jester’s gone Rogue! Multiclass, perhaps?
