Running barefoot on a wooden deck…How has Adina NOT been crippled by splinters already?
All old-time sailors were barefoot. It gives better footing on a wet, slippery, wooden deck.
Calluses can build up awfully thick. It just isn’t seen that much in modern life.
That deck get’s swabbed regularly. It’s pretty smooth.
And they tended those decks for this very reason… a lot of sailing is just sitting back, you know. 😉
I don't think that regular archer can shoot as far as modern artillery. Some good surely helped out.
