Although, I’ll also allow that Dewcup’s "training" is probably (mostly) irrelevant. She’s just just unhinged with luck and natural ability.
I’ve had a random thought over the past couple days that we still don’t know how long Dewcup has been down here with Ata. I think it’s pretty clear that Ata considers her welcome company, no matter some chronic ditziness. Wondering if Ata has been treating her a bit as a potential acolyte (consciously or unconsciously) and bringing Dewcup along some. Dewcup does have magic (among other abilities), just very under-developed and misapplied.
As I read this installment, it occurred to me this might be the moment when he does learn.
I just hope it’s in time to save Ata.
Never, in all my years of gaming, did I ever think I’d feel sorry for a lich. Actual sympathy and hopes for his well-being. I know he’ll survive this, but I’d hate for him to have to watch Ata die, especially after finding her after all these years.
Yes! After his return to the Black Mountain, he becomes the healer for Queen Bloodhand. A skill that he never demonstrated before the arc with the rings.
Ditzcup is attracted to drow, and attracted to male elves…why would she not be attracted to male drow? Voluntarily committing acts that could result in her pregnancy under these circumstances should be well within her wheelhouse.
I wonder… Dewcup’s evil succubus twin never showed up. Could she be the ONE in charge of the drow already? EEP!!!! Otherwise, Dewcup will end up the EVIL QUEEN of the DEMON DROW… I LIKE it! sounds like a book title! ROFL
This is beginning to mirror the battle Lewie turned to Kira. Methinks the dynamic of Hano and Kira will be a very interesting factor in this battle between the twin goddesses.
Lewie seems to be the power player here. Mislead, confused Lewie.
Hmm. But Dewcup seems to be the linchpin of the operation, or the focal point (because she’s very distracting and a chaotic influence).
And Ada… I still don’t know what to make of Ada’s part in this. Hmm. The best I got is this; Hano sensed the threat Lewie could pose, and decided Ada would be the best person to counter him? But that would mean that some of this battle is explicitly for Lewie’s soul, and with Dewcup here and Ranna… what? About to escape custody? Is this all to keep evil at the disadvantage it put itself in? Did Ch’thir somehow know that Lewie would abandon Kira eventually?
This strikes me as a solid parry for the side of good. Almost too sturdy to believe it happened on purpose. And look at this angle: Lewie parting ways willingly from his sister after this isn’t TOO much of a stretch. Order beneath the Black Mountain under Queen Bloodhand is a clean next move for Lewie after this is resolved, but was it more the doing of Ada or Ranna? Is Ada being there even a good thing for the eventual outcome?
I’m hoping that things will fall into place around Dewcup in a way that allows BOTH of those answers somehow, because a lich working (indirectly or not) for Ch’thirian purposes would be… hmm, well, I’m not sure how to think about it.
This is a storyline that can only get better. I’m excited.
Have to remember, and possibly Lewie as well: he is cursed to screw-up _when he does evil_!
Lewie is going to become the very first (possibly) Good Lich! 😀
She was taught by the best. She’ll be their queen in no time.
I’m thinkin’ … THIS.

So far.
I’m guessing that Lewie learns how to heal at some point after this.

Somehow, I don’t think that the trademark "Tee-Hee" will do the trick this time.
And for some reason, my random-thought generator informs me that a pregnant Dewcup would be unbearably adorable.
Unfortunately, as cute as that may be, for that to happen would be against her choice (and it starts with the letter ‘r’)
Her choice?
Its Dewcup! Give her 2 minutes to rationalize it, or 3 minutes of boredom, and SHE becomes the threat to THEIR morality.
Its part of her charm, don’t you know… 😛
Wait, you saying that D-cups is simply a randy horny Elf who is simply begging to be ridden? o_O
More that she is so random, that even being horny is random enough with her to make sense at this point.

Lewie isn’t killing him, he is recruiting them, just has to remove the annoying fleshy parts first 😀
