2755 Celenas New Schedule
Rite of Summer is a M/M erotic romance, set in the turbulent summer of 1810.
From the blurb:
There are terrors worse than stage fright. Like falling in love.
Violinist Stephen Ashbrook is passionate about three things—his music, the excitement of life in London, and his lover, Evander Cade. It’s too bad that Evander only loves himself. A house party at their patron’s beautiful country estate seems like a chance for Stephen to remember who he is, when he’s not trying to live up to someone else’s harsh expectations.
Joshua Beaufort, a painter whose works are very much in demand among the right sort of people, has no expectations about this party at all. Until, that is, he finds out who else is on the guest list. Joshua swore off love long ago, but has been infatuated with Stephen since seeing his brilliant performance at Vauxhall. Now he has the chance to meet the object of his lust face to face—and more.
But changing an open relationship to a triad is a lot more complicated than it seems, and while Evander’s trying to climb the social ladder, Stephen’s trying to climb Joshua. When the dust settles, only two will remain standing…

Ok was I the Only one Drooolling a Little?
Because it sounds so serious.
Is it just me, who still believes her ‘lieutenant’ will defect to Arachne?
OK, the odds that Arachne wouldn’t discover this went from slim to none.
And who to say that Arachne would be bother by this? Or even Joining? >-< I mean this is Arachne! I still wondering If She got the Goddess Soul or if its her more crazy but Less Evil Friend!
Charlie got the soul
Arachne would be bothered because these renegades are stealing her slaves
IF they are stealing her slaves…
Otherwise ~ more perverted sado-masochistic evil girls? Arachne would like that 😛
Not if they aren’t hers, and specially seeing how she is possibly the last of the "Daughters of the Spider" (or whatever the ones who originally got that spider tattoo on their arms) outside of The Lost City of Ruun
Arachne might enjoy the evil & sadism of the recruits, but she is quite loyal to Lolth. Another goddess moving in on Lolths territory is not something Arachne would be inclined to tolerate.
And, I believe "the Order of the Spider" is the correct designation, and there are a few of them around. I suspect (being a secret Order) that we have not seen all the Drow who are part of that order, but my memory vaguely seems to recall some mention that they aren’t all that common. Arachne has a very direct and open relationship with Lolth, so her membership is probably an ‘open secret.’
Now, one of the last scenes with Lolth, and also of Wolf, is the infamous "Challenge Accepted!" In the middle of this particular story arc, there is the strong possibility that Lolth herself may be pregnant, which may weaken her ability to respond to Ranna.
At least, at first.
Just remember: Lolth wasn’t the only goddess involved in shutting Ranna down
I had the impression that Arachne’s loyalty to Lolth was at least a little strained at the end of the Coup de Drow arc.
The comic I am thinking of is still missing from the archive, but I think it was indirectly implied (with a sudden scene change, from Arachne discussing how Lolth could use the focus crystal to come back any time, to the cyclops smith destroying it) that Arachne was the one who made sure the focus crystal was destroyed so that Lolth couldn’t come back.
Although I guess it’s possible she is loyal but still has decided it was a very very bad idea to have gods physically roaming the material world.
Arachne is as loyal to Lolth as any other Drow, not counting Lolth Priestesses
Lolth did get drunk like some pathetic mortal when she had a physical body.
It’s been a couple weeks, but the comic I thought of is back now: http://yafgc.net/comic/2191-yeah-about-that/
Doesn’t really mean she isn’t still loyal, just doesn’t like the idea her Goddess can just manifest whenever She wants, specially one like Lloth
The questions is, though, will Lloth still view Arachne as one of her favourites when she finds out the ‘door’ has been, effectively, bricked up?
Because Arachne is part of a secret society explicitly dedicated to combating Ranna?
I’m starting to wonder ~
In Convers Sation the Lieutenant was named "Shene"… is she the same one, that converted Celena? Was she around at that time?
And "Haggarda" (i guess the converted "goblin" from convers sation is "Haggarda) … the name remembers me of something… wasn’t there a princess of that name?
Are you thinking of http://yafgc.net/character/hogga-the-hobgoblin/ or if not maybe http://yafgc.net/character/halgra-general-of-jones-righteous-army/ ?
(Wow the cast page is LONG…)
Does anyone (besides BK, who doesn’t have to think—he’ll KNOW!) think that Celena’s one-time fellow adventurer Morgana is going to make an appearance soon?
We haven’t seen that guy she captured when she went Evil Mistress for awhile either
But yeah, it’s time for Morgana to re-appear and help put a stop to Celena
sound’s funny when you say it outloud…
