      But they always look like that. Light reflecting off the lenses would only be so obvious from certain angles to the light source.

          Not sure about them being _mirrored shades_, but more ‘Dramatic Glasses’, because you do see her eyes a few times (umm, fairly sure we have seen her eyes at least once through the lens)

      Those lines are the traditional method of showing shininess or light reflection in art, especially more cartoony art.
