I’m going to have to disagree and say “The Force” had something to do with this. However that whole “snake Force” works – after seeing them on the plane.
(Just speculation on my part. Otherwise… Et Tu, Guesticus?)
I guess that the joke i made way back – "There are snakes in her brain" was a pretty bad one, as it seems it’s the truth.
Hopefully there’s a cure.
On the other hand – Ranna has an awesome recruiting tactic.
If the Person is a fighter she is slowly broken into a mistress.
If the person is a priest it’s even easier. Snake – Juice and she has a direct link to Ranna – who would most likely dominate everyones mind – as she is a godess.
You’re too kind. I’ve been worried that I’ve strayed too far from the old funny comic it used to be. Heck, when Mrs.B first appeared she was wearing a cocktail gown and a bouffant hairdo!
That’s the risk of adding a storyline and expanding the cast and ‘world’, other webics have gone through the same thing ("Wapsi Square" and "Questionable Content" for prime examples), but, personally, it’s still good, you still have the funnies but now, it’s a little more intriguing
Honestly, I don’t know how you keep it straight and with continuity. Around 2000, I binged on The Adept Series (a rare foray for me into “fantasy” and I never found the books to finish it (Piers Anthony, sp?).
But I read an interview where he commented on a fan site who kept track of every character’s biography and morph of that character – (probably an NSA employee, after work!) and he admitted that it was *so thorough*, that a few years later when he came to add another Adept book, he had to study the site – to wash away his own confusion about mix-ups with other books he had written – and where he left each one off.
I’ve definitely been lost a few times in the past year or so, since rediscovering and rereading it all (just as you were re-assembling the site!) = but this is my only real read into the lands of Fantasy besides so long ago – since I don’t play or read any others.
The humor and the boobs brought me in, and while tales get more complex, I just keep praying to the Feathered Lizard Gods for more Boobs & Captain Fang (he’s my uncle).
It’s still a funny comic, and *very* funny when it aims to be.
In any case, I prefer caring about the characters and all that. And in turn, I *much* prefer comedy when the gags are based on the personalities of well-drawn characters.
Looking back into the archives, I think Ch’Thier was trying to stop this happening, but her aim was off and hit Daddy dearest. The lightning strike that changed him happened just after he suggested a prayer to Ch’Thier and from the look of it, stood up, raised his arm and got in the way of the strike aimed at Sahar.

He was standing beside (or behind) his wife, Sahar was sitting beside Kassim, until Daddy turned woody, his _wife_ was the High Priestess, she only stepped aside for Sahar to take over the running of the region while Abina continued searching for a cure
He also stated that Sahar was a fully indoctrinated priestess of Ch’Thier, which most gods and goddesses don’t appreciate if used to label one of their rivals’ priests. And gods/goddesses tend to smite the heretic masquerading as one of their’s.
Um, no, I would be willing to bet Sahar was ‘converted’ by the same potion that turned her into a gorgon just now. That change has certainly made other converts more pliable to the will of Rana.
Typical “Thanksgiving” conversation with my “family.” (I hate using that word to describe them)
If it were Christmas instead, we’d all give each other ammo for the crossbows we brought to keep negative comments to non-bone & non-organ sack wounds.
I’m hoping one day just to give one gift to all. A sleigh fly by “Fuel-Air-Explosive” (need not be a MOAB or Daisy Cutter – just big enough for 1 acre) and people would know for certain that Santa was real, after all!
I’m wondering if this can be reversed at all. Or do we kiss (not literally; I don’t fancy a face full of snake) all of the Gorgonized characters good-bye?
Well, I would assume that if they manage to do something permanent to take Rana out of power, then the Gorgonized would probably return to having free will. At that point, they would be ‘themselves’ again, whether they are stuck as Gorgons, or not. If they don’t manage to do something permanent to take Rana out of power, then the world will go through some serious changes, and the Gorgonized could be considered lucky compared to what will likely happen to the rest of them.
Want to bring up something about how they are being controlled (something about direct control from Queen Rancid, or simply one-off corruption and no Rancid control) but the squishy organ in head is a little slushy tonight
Damn! That was quick!!
Unless, because Ch’Thier is not in service anymore it was easier

What? o_O Me too what?
Well, don’t know how exactly the Gorganizing works, but Sahar was the High Priestess (or one of the top) of Ch’Thier, at least in the Umbril region

Yeah, that was fairly much how they broke Lena: she tried to escape to her Goddess, and found someone else answering Her calls
Dude.
Awesome strip.
You’re writing something very action-y (invasion!), but your love of classic horror *really* shines through here.
t!

Umm, what? Sahar _is_ (or was) a fully indoctrinated Priestess of Ch’Thier, not sure what you are meaning
I am just saying that Sahar was converted to a Rannite before her return.
Um, no, I would be willing to bet Sahar was ‘converted’ by the same potion that turned her into a gorgon just now. That change has certainly made other converts more pliable to the will of Rana.
Just like with Lena: Sahar possibly ‘reached out’ to Ch’Thier, only to be redirected to Queen Rancid
That was a quick conversion.

Yeah, was wondering that as well
Maybe, the cure to the Gorgonzola’d has a tie to Papa Tree

That was rather abrupt. The high priestess for the whole region converted just like that with no apparent resistance?
