If I remember, didn’t what’s her butt (cannot remember her name for the life of me) from Undermountain leave ahead of time when she found out the Rannite’s plan, because she realized that what they were looking for was in Umbril before anyone else?
Nope. Neither Arachne nor Wolf. It’s an unnamed Drow fighting alongside the Rannites. I was attempting to show that the Rannites are not just Dungeon Mistresses and Gorgons, but lots of evil types populate their ranks. Obviously it wasn’t clear enough.
And I don’t know what an Oni is, but that’s Mim the Ogre from "Reflections in the Sand"
That was kinda why was wondering who she was: Dark Elves are still viewed as ‘evil’ by most of the rest of the world, even Arachne is barely tolerated apart from by Duke Luke and The Cad (and even that is simply because Glon vouches for her… some of the time)
Well. After the past few comics, I hate Ranna even more, so well done, if that’s your intention (as she’s a villain, I would assume so). On the plus side, Vanessa’s a very powerful priestess, if anyone’s likely to have an inkling to how the whole gorgon conversion/rannite control works, it’s probably her.
Noticed 2 things. Got2 ask.
1) Why does Sahar call her Mother Vanessa?
Is Ranna speaking through her?
2) Does Vanessa look like Momma Harpy, or is that pure Imagination?
Umm, who is the Dark Elf fighting the Oni guard? o_O
And who did that other Gorgon stone? O_o

Arachne, though the build suggests a male drow… maybe Wolf?

An Oni is a Chinese/Japanese "ogre," known in D&D as the Ogre Mage.
(They stereotypically have one or two horns, bright red or blue skin, wear tiger hides, and carry giant spiked metal clubs.)
Figured she was fighting for the Rancid Army, was just wondering if she was a ‘named’ or not
Well, we have seen Bugbears and Hobgoblins in the Rancid Army
Oh, and Arachne is with Jester Lizzie and Glon and Co, they were heading to the Valley when they spotted Charlie heading the wrong way
Oh the angle to me made it seem like she was fighting along side the Umbrilites.

I was answering argentlupus on the name of the drow he’d forgotten. And it still looks male to me.
Oh okay, comments can be confusing at times 🙁
Hmmm, no, don’t personally see ‘male’, but that’s just me (body maybe, but the head and face seem ‘female’ to me)

When this storyline started, I knew things would get worse for our heroes before they got better, but DANG.
Vanessa’s side LOST?!? 0_0
I was expecting considerably more kick-ass power from Vanessa……
Maybe, but, most of her power comes from being a Priestess, and her Goddess is not in office right now
That fight seemed to end kinda quickly.
t!

Angry mother face. Unless you’re extremely powerful you run or fall down on your knees and beg for forgiveness when that shows up.
Wondering what this might mean for the Calif?
