If he released everyone, Dagmar would be suspicious of a traitor in her household and Yarrick would be on the wrong end of a very angry Hyeesha, an angry Goddess, at least one gorgon and several dozen minions with dinosaurs. But by releasing just Arachne and Lizzie, both Drow and at least one is known for her ability with locks (admittedly putting them ON people) Dagmar would start searching for them instead of the person who actually released them.
Also Drow escaping the castle in the middle of a desert in the middle of the day, who’s ever heard of such a thing?
Just seemed a little ‘co-inky-dinky’ that he chose the two most likely to succeed
Maybe he was just going to release Arachne, but she said she wasn’t going anywhere without Lizzie
But, how long do you believe Glon will hold out once he is presented to Charlie? Charlie most certainly will remember the one who killed her illusioned-guard, with his bare hands, believing it was her
I can see problems with picking the others for escape.
Glon, would have refused to leave without his wife, and more than likely his friends, leading to the full jailbreak senario. Also as a Royal captive, it’s likely that his guard detail is bigger and less likely to be bribed. And being a Half-orc, miiiight have gone for the whole revenge thing on Dagmar, which Yarrick wouldn’t have gone along with. He knows she’s choosing badly, but he still loves her.
A second theory (which doesn’t really have any evidence to support it) is Yarrick recognises Arachne’s tattoo for what it is, and knows she’s the one person he needs out to fix this. The thing about Lizzie getting out is likely to be how you described it.
Also, Glon is probably still upstairs, either in the Royal Harem or in Dag’s private chambers where we last saw him
We almost forgot the Luke, The Cad, Caelen and a couple others (but that’s probably why _they_ were left behind because they weren’t even important enough to remember)
Either Dagmar is totaly cluless whats hapening around her and make Lizzie look smart, or she is a very sharp monark. She save here town and life to fight Ranna another day when she has chance of winning.
Clueless about what? She knows who (or what) Rancid is, so attempting to placate her is the sensible option (or are you implying that only moron’s and idiots would willingly join rather than die?)
Well, for one thing, she is a flind and we haven’t had much insight into where flinds are placed on the morality charts in this world or how they view themselves or the rest of the world (and compared to, say, even certain humans and ‘light’ elves, so far they haven’t portrayed themselves any differently than any other race)
Personally do _not_ view saving your life, and every one around you, from a most certain squishy death as ‘cowardice’
Had a good feeling about Yarrick, shame he wasn’t able to save the rest
Anyone else waiting for the happy reunion between Charlie and Glon? 😀
Thought’s been on my mind.
Yarrick’s awesome! 🙂
I love how unsure he is.
He doesn’t know exactly what the hell is going on, but he knows it ain’t good.
t!
Wonder why he saved only Arachne and Lizzie? o_O

Also, Plot (only real reason needed 😀 )
Hmm, I wonder if the cells are werewolf-proof…
Don’t believe they brought one of them, did they?
Lucas.
Oh right, forgot about unlucky Luke 🙁
Just remembered Eddy was ‘experimenting’ on the two girls
It is not clear to me that Ranna has Charlie’s memories, and she had not yet taken over when Glon did that.
Hmm, thought Rancid was in the drivers seat at that time, but maybe that was simply Charlie playing with new spells
Oooo, wondering now what sort of reception they will get when they run into the homeless Calippha and family
Also, speaking of, hope the Caliph doesn’t get used as firewood, or someone decides to carve "Ranna was here!" into his bark

Also cowards and those that would join in any circuimstances.
