Looks like Hank has overcome his repeated shock treatments 😀
Hmm, isn’t Meegs’ Tower some distance from Elegrost? o_O
I'm pretty sure her tower is *in* Elegrost.
Shouldn’t they also take cover from the soon to be falling bullet? o_O
Speaking of, wonder what the ‘natives’ will think of the pistol 😀
Probably something like panel 4:

Right, had forgotten they had encountered cannons before (Arachne would most certainly want to get hold of a portable version 😛 )
Yeah, seriously, you should never, EVER shoot a gun straight into the air.
It’s just basic physics, what goes up MUST come down.
Even if it hits something (and that just means something bigger coming down 😛 )
Not unless he somehow aimed it *exactly* upwards. If they are in the middle of the forest, miles away from anyone else, it's not a big deal. It's only a problem if there are other people within range who might get hit.
Oh – Americans!
See?
I knew I’d eventually get told what happened during the part I missed!
I keep forgetting that Princess Gaggia is capable of fighting and isn’t just a bookish nerd..she’s right, they should worry about organizing survivors or finding out if their loved ones are alive, not just protecting her.
Hah! Yes.
I like him.
t!
Shooting straight up isn’t that big of a deal, because it will fall back to earth at the same velocity as if it was dropped from a couple stories up. You might get a bruise but it won’t kill you. What’s dangerous is if you fire at an angle. It well retain most of it’s velocity through the arc, and will hit something on the ground with only a little less impact than something closer.
It's basically impossible to shoot *exactly* straight up, and shooting at an angle is only a problem if there are people in that direction. In the middle of the woods miles and miles away from any other people, who cares?
