Drawn by Ron Bender (Well, when they aren’t being drawn by me, that is…)
Ta daa
Indeed, and they didn’t even need a Priest.
But… how badly does she need those bracers to work correctly?
Scale has two bracers. One is her navigation bracer. It allows her to focus her natural realm jumping ability. Without it she jumps blind. She had to do this during the Crossover wars. The other bracer is defensive. It is liquid armor. It gives her super strength and can form weapons such as swords. She can even use the armor to fly. At least she could before Jone got through with it.
Darn it. Now I need to binge all of the story… These characters are far to interesting.
*wanders off into internet land*
lol i was thinking the same thing, looks like i have a new comic to read
Whew… I feel like a father who’s been waiting for his daughter to come out of Heart Surgery 😐
I’m glad there’s still enough magic available in this realm.
OK, so wizards can cast healing spells in this universe. Good to know.
Well when they’re the two most powerful wizards on the continent, sure. It’s like Nasa’s spacecraft design theory: Put enough Rockets on a Brick, and it will fly.
I’m betting those were Alter Reality spells or even Wish spells. That would be the easiest way for a wizard to heal someone.
There are numerous examples of magical healing throughout YAFGC. Lewie saving Arachne in more recent arcs, but going back to Glon and Wolf having their hands regenerated after that harem incident.
I think it’s also been made clear that Arachne’s little "play room" relies on inflicting massive trauma, then healing it. To keep the fun going.
@Elfguy — read the incantations that Meegs & Eddie recite. Nothing so powerful as a Wish. Although, it wouldn’t surprise me if Alter Reality is a fundamental core of Heal. Especially for rapidly mending a major wound such as this one.
To me personally, the most surprising thing about Scale’s injury is that Jone didn’t carve off her entire shoulder and part of her chest cavity. Jone is strong almost beyond mortal comprehension for her size, and that fancy meat-chopper she forged would certainly have the weight and edge to cleave just about anything smaller than an owl bear in two.
For instance, she just destroyed a magic bracer with it. Not what I would call a trivial task.

I see a couple of possibilities on the healing front. One is UMD. The other is epic spells. Third is simply custom necromancy spells (we’re not the DM’s, after all).
Looking at what Meegs and Eddy said, I think they just modified two arcane spells to be healing ones. Meegs is basically using a modified Raise Dead
… and roughly Eddy’s saying Mad leap of Eutychus’ life in air… (from the Bible, peter saved a boy called Eutychus who fell out of a three storey window and Peter returned him to life)
Now I’ve had time to sleep, The spell Eddy’s using is closer to Eutychus’ Desperate Lifeblood Heal.
Vata coming from the Ayurvedic medicine Dosha (which covers bloodflow)
So glad Scale is fixed. (Stuffs one arm pictures of Scale into desk drawer) Knew it all along.
"looking for" some healing spells.
One concludes she has none in her regular repertoire, then?
