Chapter: Yet Another Fantasy Gamer Crossover
Characters: Hank, Lord Trahl Alla'a, Mike the Microraptor, Princess Gaggia Shadowtalker, Scale, Sir Idries of Falconheim
Location: The Black Mountain
Scale, Hank, Handler and Gertrude are all visiting us from “Cowboys and Crossovers”
http://cowboysandcrossovers.thecomicseries.com/comics/
Drawn by Ron Bender (Well, when they aren’t being drawn by me, that is…)
Nice swordplay there Hank! Looks like the Prince was more swagger than skill:p
But… uhoh 😮
I guessing this is when Mrs B appears out of nowhere, slices off the whip arm and then snaps the Dark Mistress like a twig.
I like the way you think Alyx 😀
It would be nice if you are correct.
However, I have seen the next page…
It’s easy to forget how capable most of those DMs are. You’ve got to respect that.
Now take her out without harming Scale.
Meh, Scale just needs to activate… her… armor… bracelet… 😮
Damn…
Seems Hank is equal parts gunslinger and Samurai 🙂
Hank seems to come from the Mal Reynolds school of practical swordfighting.
First reaction:
Gaggia FRIGHTENS me!!!
t!
i am just waiting for her to throw a rock against her head or something 😛
I love Hank.
Also I look forward to Gaggia and Mike having the next big action scene. ^_^
For a supposedly Chaotic Evil orc, Gaggia’s heart is in exactly the right place. To quote the movie title, There Will Be Blood.
I fully expect a deux ex machina to come riding in on a certain phooka and kick the Dark Mistress’ ass all the way back to the Black Mountain.
Kinda careless of you there, Scale.
Also, Microraptors apparently do the shocked-and-angry-hiss thing even better than cats. All four limbs, claws, feathers, and teeth add up to an impressive display!
Oh c’mon. No one noticed that DM sneaking off in plain sight?
Especially the people who are looking down on the scene from above. That she somehow then managed to sneak up on.
They probably figured the DM was bugging out. Her boss was the now-dead gorgon, not the elf twit, so it’s not outlandish that Scale and the others could have assumed she was over this fight.
In DK the Mistresses were ‘Flanking’ monsters…
Guess they r good at that ????
Didn’t he hand his gun to the woman being throttled? The weapon that she can use by… aiming over her shoulder at the head of the person throttling her, and squeezing the trigger?
That would deafen Scale for a while, but it’s better than the alternative.
Doesn’t have to be over the shoulder, shoving the barrel under her arm and into the Dark Mistress’ chest about heart height would also have the desired effect of "making her go away".
The only downside would be in the death spasms, the Dark Mistress yanks the whip and snaps Scale’s neck.
Necks don't snap that easily, they aren't make of meringue.
I think that we’re about to find out that certain small species of dinosaurs were actually quite venemous, even ones that were able to fly!
Awww, the filters didn’t like my link?
I was suggesting that this situation reminds me of a scene in "The Probability Broach" over at Big head Press (A good read, check it out) where one character, asking about hijackings, says "What if I take a hostage?" and another character replies "Your hostage kills you."
It could be because a person who wants to read it has to buy it first; I searched for it by title & could only find links where it could be purchased.
You didn’t happen to try linking to any specific page in the book, did you?
😉
A handy link that contains link to the online version of the comic and where to buy it: http://dragoneers.com/webcomicsoffline/the-probability-broach/ 🙂
just search for Big Head Press, scroll down and pick "read online" on the right.
Page 127 has the reference.
If the heroes can be sneaked up on and surprised by one DM this easily, they don’t deserve to be heroes. And there are three of them (four including the beastie), are they blind?
Or perhaps DMs are very skilled?
Besides Heroism against inept adversaries isn’t hardly as heroic as Heroism against smart and capable opponents.
An easy win is by definition not heroic, unless it is a lucky easy win. The level of heroism can be approximated by the probability of defeat. Of course that ignores such factors as whether you fight for your own interests or for the interests of others.
Gorgeous swordfight, by the way. Exciting and fluid.
t!
(wondering if there’s an Orc who runs a Barony somewhere in your continuity)
