Who the hell is cutting onions here?
What a gentleman, even helps her on with her bra – which seems only right since he helped her get if off
Wouldn’t the microraptors have their own name for their species? How do they know what 20th century paleontologists call them?
I think Meegs made this one sapient with magic, so I doubt most of them speak at all. As for why the common language in the Northrealm sounds identical to English… well, maybe Scale could tell you something about that.
In a previous strip where the gang go into the Hidden Valley, I established that the dinosaurs are named in an ancient and arcane language (which happens to be the Greek and other languages used by modern paleontologists).

It’s a ‘translation convention’. Just as modern English is used to represent whatever language it is they’re speaking in Elegrost.
Wow.
SOMEhow, you made it even MORE intimate & tender.
Bird-lizard-thingie notwithstanding.
t!
And it’s MICRORAPTOR!
He’s gonna be dinner if he doesn’t get away from that window soon!
My wife came in from the coop one morning and said, "I’ve named one of the chickens."
I replied my reminding her we’d agreed we weren’t going to do that.
She said, "It’s okay. I named him Thanksgiving Dinner."
And he was. And he was delicious.
t!
You’re right; we should just call it a "thingie" for short.
t!
That name is already allocated to something else :S
"No, not that thingie. The other thingie."
