Unlikely, that he could do himself.
Actually my first thoughts were also that he’s got to do something to the royal family. But the thing is, we don’t know how much the Rannites know. It well could be that they don’t know how many people and who exactly survived the attack. The gorgon who gave Bob his mission might know as much as Gren and/or Meegs knew, but none of the 2 knew that Ms. B and Glon are still alive. So now I’m guessing his mission is something entirely different. Unless it’s to kidnap Gaggia…
I sure hope Ms. B makes him talk before he does anything he may regret.
Landing on your head and neck like that can cause broken necks and concussions. I guess unless they can figure out how to undo the Medusa effect on her, they will want to Meegs to stay unconscious.
As far as I’m concerned, until it’s revealed wehether the gorgon transformation is reversible, that’s not Meegs. That’s a Rannite puppet masquerading around in her body, and doesn’t deserve to live. Really hoping Ranna gets her comeuppance soon and the change is reversable, because it’s getting to the point where the gorgon transformations are not having the intended emotional impact. Kinda like the death count on Game of Thrones.
"the intended emotional impact" of her being [some form of] Gorgon has only ever been, since Strip #3031, to play it for comedy. With the possible exception of 3031, which sets up the comedic non-surprise with several highly suspicious behaviours.
What do YOU think "the intended emotional impact" is?
Be sure to provide examples – from the comic. (One shouldn’t have to specify that, but, the times being what they are… ) Indicate what you believe "the intended emotional impact" to be, how Rich attempted to convey it, and the manner in which he failed.
The intended emotional impact of the gorgon transformations and the brainwashing seems to me to be the same as any horrific fate befalling a character. The author typically wants readers to empathize with them, I just feel that recently there’s been so many deaths and worse fates occurring in the comic it’s getting to the point where more is just…blah. Still a great comic though, I’m just impatient for Ranna to meet justice.
How does the Rannite priestess know what Bob is doing exactly? Yes he has a mission, but how does she know how he goes about doing it? Bob may have sought out Mrs B to get advice on how to get around whatever they want him to do and be able to save Gren.
Is Bob’s mission to get the rest of the Black Mountain Orc Royal family calcified by Meegs?

"I see them, just above the treetops. Floating orblike things."
… and as there is progressivley less foliage…
"Hey – a body!"

There’s probably a time limit on whatever it is he has to do. So if he’s not back in x amount of days with whatever it is done, then Gren gets it…
He also knows that the Rannites have spies and operatives everywhere, so he probably can’t stray too much, lest they catch him.
