Indeed. To me at least, the grumble felt basically good-natured on Glon’s part. Leland’s "You have no idea" suggests to me that living with someone with, as CDtalmas below said, many ranks in Sense Motive…well, is something of an adventure.
He called you "friend," Glon. Suggest you go with that. I’ve a really Bad Feeling about this guy being your enemy. Merely "annoying" is something you’d probably long for with wistful nostalgia.
Can’t wait for the curious noises in the night to start up outside.
I think the more important thing to remember is that he promised to keep the existence of the Winnaloohoo-hoo secret, so of course he’s going to get all testy. It’s part of keeping his word.

But to be honest, I also don’t remember him making such a vow, though while I have been going over the history I created, I haven’t thoroughly reread the whole thing either. So if you do find where Glon makes this vow, I’d like to hear about it. 🙂
Not a vow, true. I merely inferred it from the promise of the party to help the Winnaloohoo-hoo live in peace, hidden from the world. You know, when you wrote of them leaving. And for all of his bluster, Glon (as I read how you write him) has a strong desire to do the right thing.
This entire part of the arc is a snapshot of my life. ROFL.
"I’ve made a long and dangerous journey to seek out a librarian, so I can meet everything he says with reflexive anger."
You might want to work on that plan a little, Glon…
Nah, he’s off the hook this time – he doesn’t want to betray anyone.
t!

He’s a half-orc. Reflexive anger is the default emotion.
"That’s annoyingly clever."
Hand hlong hmay hit continue! 😀
Every time I read "winnaloohoo-hoo" my brain immediately follows it with "who was no more than two."

And Ranna – she herself – Ranna carved the roast beast.
Alas, to Ranna, we are all beasts…still, I hope we were delicious!
Oh c’mon Glom, you’re just being testy now. As you and Leland have already shown, this is your kind of crowd.
I believe that’s a full 23 ranks in Sense Motive there… coupled with a take 10 and a helluva lotta Wisdom.

Got a link to that story arc? I don’t recall that.
