Age of the world/Year, I believe. So, 6/688 and 6/689 would be "Sixth Age, Year 688/689". Using this format, the Battle of the Last Alliance in Lord of the Rings would be written as 2/3441 (Second Age, Year 3441) and the crowning of King Elessar Telcontir of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor would be 3/3019 (Third Age, Year 3019).
Thanks for the clarification. 🙂 After reading your comment I also remembered that I read about the start of a new Age somewhere, and I found that to be the strip 1000.
Wasn’t technically the Crowning of Elessar a month into the fourth age? I believe the fourth age began with the fall of the Dark Lord on the 25th of March 3021 and Elessar’s crowning was on the first of May 3021, Gondor reckoning.
Wow. Now, that’s a special treat: Glon backstory. I really wouldn’t have expected there to be any more to tell … but, falling for his first teacher? Very cool!
I like that Master Smitharm, who had to give his child to Barron Owen and raise Owen’s 1/2 orc bastard has added "& son" to his sign, he might not love Glon but the kid will still inherit the business and learn his trade.
And we also see why she thinks Glon was a little familiar he was running around the blacksmith’s shop 20 years ago
C’rhynne has very prominent eyelashes in the flashback, but not in the present-day stuff. Does that indicate a genuine change in appearance, or reflect the way Glon’s crush altered his perceptions and his memory?
Not a vital point, just something about the artist’s process that’s piqued my curiosity.
Okay, my turn to squee! ❤️❤️❤️
Also, adorable chibi Glon. Oh, my heart.
Also, shades of Wonder Woman (and Splinter from the original TMNT GN) with our hero learning by mimicing a mentor unobserved. Love it.
And Prince Glon needs to work on his poker face. ?
We need plushy chibi glon to be a thing
Oh my goodness, Very Young Glon is absolutely adorable! (And quite a climber to boot!)
Awwwwwwwww!
How does the calendar work?

Correct!!
Wait, in strip 3000 it was written, that the 8th Age just started. So just how long was the 7th Age? Or that 6 was actually meant to be 7?
The 7th Age was VERY short. It would be corrected by future historians.
The Seventh Age marked the Grand Empire of the Kobolds, the only military force to survive the siege of Black Mountain.
It ended when Emperor Plundercheek got distracted by a weird-looking bug.

Sauron fell in 3019, but Aragorn’s crowning and the official start of the Fourth Age was in 3021.

And we all now what kind of thrust Glon was thinking of……
Ew… he’s just a little kid y’know. He’s precocious, but not THAT precocious.
I was going to say… ❤️
Yes, the adult Glon, not the kid Glon.
This is definitely an adorable and a "awwwww!" comic. Li’l Glon is so cute, as his puppy love/crush for C’rhynne. Well done, Rich!
Li’l Glon the half-pint Half-Orc.
Awww, tiny Glon <3
So he already had some basic training before the Baron put him in the army!
Um, I was sweet on you and you indirectly taught me the basics of sword fighting? No… let’s just go with I may have heard of you.
Dang it, Archive delving is over since I found this, Can I have more please? I’ll wait patiently.
XD So how many days did it take you?
Hmmm, does young Glon love the girl or love fighting?
Yes?
t!
Well, this was delightfully unexpected!
Now the question is: Why does *he* seem familiar to *her*?
t!
(going back to look at their swordfight)
Aww – little Glon is just adorable! Also, he just realized he beat his heroine/crush at the sword…
You mean their fight in front of the library?
Well, Glon did disarm C’rhynne, so I guess you could say he won the swordfight…only to decisively lose the ensuing fistfight.
I like that Master Smitharm, who had to give his child to Barron Owen and raise Owen’s 1/2 orc bastard has added "& son" to his sign, he might not love Glon but the kid will still inherit the business and learn his trade.

That boy has max ranks in Climb, I swear…
He should totally tell her the story, all sweet and bashful like. Later, when they’re alone. Even money shot she’ll take a liking to him… 😉
Money shot, what?
I do believe it means, in this case, "equal odds for and against."

I think it is a small indicator of her change in age (unless she lives till 200 years old).
Oh wow. I really hope that she finds out the truth before this is over.
