Glon will not find what he claims to be looking for, as he found what he was really looking for. And it is an ancient trope, practised by Caesar Augustus as well and Henry in Shakespeare’s play: the princeps pretending to be a commoner to get an honest opinion. Alas, nigh all in a library are well read in such tropes.
Assuming whatever the dust awakes doesn’t interrupt. Or that Maula shows up in a surprise twist.
Nooo trevor you’ll make meeeee cryyy *hand in palms*
Ok that tears it there is zero possibility that this group, and particularly at least C’rhynne, doesn’t recognize him. Everyone’s been speculating but this is getting ridiculous.
I agree with everyone else–there is no way these people don’t know it’s Glon. He should just give in at this point. There is no saving throw against this. 😀
Ah, but the *timing* of Glon’s realization might still be in question here…If I were the DM, I’d still make him do a INT roll. However, since the innuendo is so thick that it wouldn’t even need a hot knife to cut it, I’d add some significant modifiers for him.
😉
This is why humans are so strongly wired against childkilling. (Almost) everyone is a complete shit for part or all of their childhood. I certainly was.
Really interesting, as others have said, to have this reminder of ‘former’ Lucas. Given who he became, if we deduce the later version is who he *should* have been all along, this early snobbery comes across as how he somehow *thought* he should behave.
Not so far-fetched, really. Anyone involved in this world’s version of military or law enforcement would–should–be acquainted with people who in all likelihood make a fair bit of their equipment. And being observant is the best way to keep people safe, by identifying problems before they start.
Oh, she remembers Glon too. Has she realised that it's Glon right here and now? There's little doubt that Trevor and Leland know, but I'm not sure about her.
Re panel 3: "my family gets my loyalty. At whatever cost to me."
Plus more backstory–yay! Forgot how much of a snot Lucas used to be. That’s one of the great things about this strip: genuine character development.
kinda amusing, she gave lucas defense lessons and glon still beat the crap out of him.
And as we seen last time, Glon was taking secret lessons from her too…
Wow. I know people change, but, I am retroactively ashamed of past-Lucas for being a little bast– er, BRAT.
We already saw him acting like this. Waaaay back in the first couple arcs.
I know, but he’s grown so much.
It’s just a little hard to watch!
Pretty soon we’re going to see what a half-orc melting like butter looks like 😀
Crying part-kitty… They are laying it on thick! Glon doesn’t stand a chance. 😉

There's no way Trevor and Leland don't know he is Glon. I'm not really sure one way or the other if she has picked that up though.

I, for one, would say nothing if the flat of C’rhynne’s sword made firm contact with chibi-Lucas’ backside.
Yay! More lil’ Glon.

t!
"Wait… back when I had a secret childhood crush on you… you KNEW I existed???"
t!

Trye and while an aprentice would normally have been benieth notice … i mean he is green that kinda stands out
And, in all likelihood–let’s face it. Glon, being an assistant, would have been underfoot a lot anyway. 😀
Little glon plyshies need to happen
C’hrynne: "Farm boy – Fetch me my training sword."
Glon: "As you wish!"
