Oooh… Wouldn’t it be deliciously wicked of Rich to have the new Baroness Hunter recall her tryst with the blacksmith of Greyfort, whom she didn’t actually marry, so that wasn’t a concern with the family curse bit, but had one son.
Lucas and Cagudan are hearing this story, look at each other, and turn very pale…
"I’m not going to tell her if you don’t." "Done. Also, let’s never talk about this again." "Done-done!"
Oh man, you just reminded me of a few years ago, when the "trannies in the bathroom" thing was big news and ostensibly heterosexual men would patrol the public restrooms (and even wear dresses with wigs). There was at least one case of a masculine appearing woman being stopped on her way to the bathroom by self proclaimed "guardians of feminity." Said "guardians" got into a bit of trouble over it… :p
His dad for sure. He has pointed out a number of times he will ignore personal insults but dissing his fam is a good way to get that half-orc to beat you half-dead
Well, even though neither Glon or Lucas knew it at the time, Lucas still deserved it for insulting his own father anyway. Justice that’s both poetic AND ironic.

i love that we get to see glon being sympathetic and kind to someone who bullied him and is trying to apologize
even more, i love that, in addition to learning more about adorable lil glon (and c’rhynne and owen), we also get to see that underneath the boorish attitude, lucas did already have some decency <3
It makes me extremely happy to know that Glon at some point was fed up with hus step Brothers crap and popped him 1
heck, I remember it being among the first things we saw, when we first met Glon

Yea but i meant as a kid
Well, if it was good once…
Isn’t he a half-brother?
Technically, no, they are not related by blood at all
Glon’s father is the Duke, Lucas’ father is the smithy
Glon’s mother is Mrs B, Lucas’ mother has never been identified

Some things never change… rince and repeat 10 years later and we know where THAT leads to! ๐

You can get a similar result commenting on a woman’s age ๐
Or our weight. Or that we donโt *look* womanly enough to be a woman (as in using the wrong pronouns. I get that a lot…. *grumble*)

Don’t worry, Aria, sir. They’ll get it right at some point.
Just saying… Iโm not a sir, Iโm a maโam… ?
Things like that makes me realise how much more likeable Lukas has become over the course of the comic.
If you won’t learn the easy way, you generally learn the hard way. :-/

Oooo, I’m writing that one down.
Should have quit while you were ahead, Lucas… ?
The sad thing is after I’d bet good money Young Lucas had no idea why Glon popped him one
Well, he’d have the rest of his life to ponder it, with a nice reminder.
I wonder, if you were to ask Adult Glon why he punched Lucas, if he would say it was because Lucas insulted his dad, or because Lucas insulted him.
(he could say ‘both,’ of course, but would that be true?)
t!
His dad for sure. He has pointed out a number of times he will ignore personal insults but dissing his fam is a good way to get that half-orc to beat you half-dead
DESERVED!!
And no one’s commented on the irony that the "dumb peasant" is Lucas’s actual biological father…?

Lucas first, and forceful, instruction in the fine art of tact.
Also in what is considered a minor insult, and what is considered fightin’ words.

Wow, so it wasn't just the once that Glon beat up Lucas when they were kids.
