More of the Firelight family, and apparently there’s one elf, one human, and one black-skinned halfling-or-perhaps-gnome. I’m gonna guess they’re Charla’s kids, as a traveling bard she can have picked a wide variety of lovers along the years.
I recall reading somewhere a long time ago that Rich has decided that halfling/human offspring are always *entirely* one or the other – no "half-halfling" forms.
Also, that "elf" looks more like a half-orc or half-goblin to me, although I don’t think we’ve seen the latter before. (I was sort of assuming goblins couldn’t interbred with humans.)
Correct, Orjan. In this world, Halflings and Humans bear either Halflings or Humans (depending on which side is the mother, Halfling women bear Halflings while Human women can bear either). Similar to Goblins. Human/Hobgoblin pairings will produce Humans or Hobgoblins. Orcs and Elves blend with Humans differently.
Since Ranna awoke and the City of Ruun rose from the Curtain of Abynn there have been no exterior shots in daylight. They’ve entered a literal Dark Age.
It was daylight in Umbril, even after the city fell to the Rannites, wasn't it? Is it only Elegrost that has this? It certainly wouldn't make sense for the rest of the world to not notice anything wrong if it's *everywhere*.
Well, that ain’t good.
Also, I wonder if Helen doesn’t actually know how eclipses work, or if she’s just doing her best to fend off general panic?
Nothing to be worried about. That is Flannet Hunter, visitng her ex-husband and her daughter. 🙂

If so, then comparing Ryann to the two taller Firelight ladies, first-generation halfling/tallfolk offspring must be wildly unpredictable in height.

Height, facial structure and ears would suggest a hobgoblin parent, rather than a human or goblin.
And is a half-halfling a quarterling?

I hope you’re right!
That was supposed to be a reply to THAT bard’s comment about Flannet.
Things moving on quickly, and not looking good 🙁
The Rannites are in trouble now.
NOBODY messes with a Hobbit’s gardening!
Oh, of course; that makes perfect sense. I saw her drivers’ unfortunate fashion sense and jumped to conclusions!
…and like T’Chall above, I was also trying to reply to THAT bard. The software seems wonky today.
I suspect it was a clever ruse by Rich to lull you into a false sense of panic.
Seeing the related comics, I am reminded that dang ring of Lewie’s is in Silverydale. What’s the likelihood of that being relevant?
Eden meet snake
What happened to the Sun? When?

It seems to me that the darkness only took hold after the crossover arc.
Ah yes! That is correct. There’s meant to be a bit of a transition between the rise and the darkness. But I had forgotten it. Sorry.
