Roberta is a rogue. Naomi & Helen are mages. Cypress, Ryann and Urzal are undefined, though I should think Ryann and Urzal would probably work out as warriors. Cypress is the son of a bard.
Oh! I see, sorry about that. Heheh. Yeah, I find that I get so into the characters that their qualifications for adventuring tends to be a second though… if though about at all. To me they’re Cypress, Ryann, Helen and Urzal. As adventurers they’re a bartender, a farmer, an apprentice wizard and a music student. Not a typicall D&D combo.
I think they are more from "Clásicos del Mazmorreo" (sorry, i don’t know the english or original title)
The star with commom Jobs in level 0 and when gain the experience can choose their class (and if they survived. In "Clásicos del Mazmorreo" you have from three to five characters and remain who you like more from the survivers. The problem is that race is a class)
Ryann’s face expression on panel 4 seemed to me quite familiar… It took me a minute to realise, it reminds me of Cadugan. Is that a coincidence, or was it intentional?
I don’t know. Cadugan’s expression is usally "you’re an idiot" and any confusion is equal or secondary. Ryann’s looks more like surprise to me with confusion being the main source.
But I really want to say her expression is great in the last panel. Very nice.
That was my line of thought too. I mean, similiar reactions can work out differently for different characters, even if they have more or less the same face expression. Just try to picture it with Glon, Eddy or Lucas for instance. In this case, I found the resemblance stunning, the body posture, the face expression, the aura she has (or what I think she has). It might have been a coincidence, the case what David Nuttall suggested above, or an intentional similiarity between siblings from the author’s side. Or just me reading too much into it. 🙂
…is Helen a blatant hypocrite or is she just too dense to get that it really isn’t nice to kiss the guy who’s dating your so-called friend and then act all whoopsie-daisy?
I wouldn’t put all the blame on Helen. The kiss looked mutual — though Cypress was the first to break it off — and was apparently a lapse back into an old relationship from before Cypress and Ryann were dating. Cypress and Helen both know it was wrong, and don’t intend to let it happen again…but since they don’t know Ryann witnessed anything, they’re probably both thinking "we almost screwed up badly," rather than "we DID screw up badly".
So are they going to find Lewie’s lost magic ring and engage in hijinks?
Ok…the barbarian, the bard, the mage and…the rogue?
Who’s the barbarian??
I think he means Urzal.
I believe you mean: Fighter, Wizard, Rogue, and Commoner.
So, we have a warrior, a bard and a mage…Ryann is the rogue?

" We shall defeat evil by harnessing the power of cuteness "
and if cuteness fail they have Urzal to scare the enemy.
Agh…internet has trolled me…
But well, I was trying to joke about the young group and a clasic composition in D&D…
Absolute fail

Your describtion raised my curiosity and so I googled a bit.
I found that "Dungeon Crawl Classics" got a translation with the title you gave.
Initial Reaction: My daughter has run away from home.
Immediate Followup: So like her mother.
[cue the pleasant reminiscing… ]
t!
That second last panel gets me singing in my head, "We’re off to see the wizard…"
In this case, it is Eddy, not The Great and Powerful Oz of Emerald City.
Pay no attention to the man behind the wispy beard!
Haha! I had to think about that too!
Well, Ryann does have a Dorothy look. But I won’t make more associations.
Oh, good, I’m not the only one who had a Wizard of OZ impression for that next to last panel…

The relation comes through
Same artist and she’s having a similar reaction.
Oops, that was meant as a reply to THAT bard.
They ARE siblings(well…half-siblings) after all.
That was my line of thought too. I mean, similiar reactions can work out differently for different characters, even if they have more or less the same face expression. > or is she just too dense
Or maybe you missed the bit where she repented?
t!
Four hobbits adventuring together? Nah, never work out.
Especially when one of them hasn’t packed for the journey yet.
Does the party have clerics to summon food and water? That’s always a must.
Even better, they have a farmer. She can produce lots of food; it just takes a while.
