3257 The Rescue
on September 16, 2019
*Sigh*
So it turns out Glon got himself addicted to Pokemon Go. And he needs more friends for research. I promised I’d help him out so… if anyone out there wants to indulge this Half Orc Idiot, his code is available. Here it is:
-Rich
D’AWWWWW π I get why you might be bored, Rich, with following through with the Ranna issues, but then you already know what you plan. It’s posts like this that make it not boring for us π (and ty so much for all your work!! I know i don’t post much to say that, but it’s because so many people say it much more eloquently- which is part of why i read the comments!)
It’s a problem with all my stories, most of the time I get committed to a thing that was and probably still is a good idea, but halfway through I’m already excited about the next one and I have to follow through on the old one.
This story has been the hardest as it’s lasted so long already and there’s still some meat to get through before it’s all over.
I’m glad there’s still some places where we can laugh or relax and enjoy it still. π
"I’ve got you."
π It didn’t need to be said, did it? You understand.
It was said. Just not in words. And that was perfect.
I heard that in Jim Raynor’s voice.
That happy smile!
All the expressions. Gren going from trepidation to "Oh shit" to flat-out terror, Bob scrunching all his eyes shut with telekinetic effort, bewildered Gren face-to-face with an eye bigger than her head, and of course the final heatwarming (and heartrending, given the price Bob paid for it) reunion.
If you can tell the story without words, do so I say. π
100% – and I’m the word guy.
That was our Narrative Team’s goal on a recent VG: get it as close to a silent movie as possible.
t!
YAY!!!
A ray of sunshine when we all needed it most.
Thank you, Rich.
Wow, Rich, since you already had this one done, you must have been laughing your *ass* off during the Power of Silly discussion last week!
Bob closing his eyes to catch her was a nice touch.
Plus I love how expressive Gren’s ears are in each panel. They tell the whole story.
Another great strip. I imagine Rancourt will be coming back to it time and time again.
t!
Yes, yes, yes! Oh, it was so great to see this rescue.
t! is right on the mark. You put nice little touches in each panel, Rich. It’s things like this, along with how you develop these stories, that make this comic so enjoyable.
> Another great strip. I imagine Rancourt will be coming back to it time and time again.
Yes. Emphatically yes.
You guys… I just… I love you guys.
Actually t!, I’m not sure I did have this one drawn at that time, though I knew it was going to happen. That being said, I’m always kind of surprised when the subject comes up. It never occurs to me that people might not just assume that he does things with no hands.
I actually looked the dates up before posting that, heh. (especially after the Bob2 boo-boo) In the Sept 10 power update, you said you had finished Tomorrow’s, Friday, and Monday. The discussion was in the 11th’s strip, and this is of course the Monday.
> I love you guys.
Right back atcha, old friend.
t!
A happy reunion for the romantic odd couple.
Aww! ^_^ <3
Fantastic!
This was needed, as things were getting pretty… dim.
Also, the size difference between Bob and Bob2 is a little more cemented in my mind!
Yay!! Bob & Gren reunited!
Now…
Where is my Boo?
Fear not, he’s around.
Oh happy happy joy joy dance in my pants with ants while they chant Huzzah!!
Aawwwwww! There will be darker times to come, but this was very much needed. For both of them, and for all of us.
If a picture can paint a thousand words, then this 7-panel comic page must be worth *at least* 7,000.
Indeed, One might even daresay…
…
Wait for it…
…
"It’s over 9,000!"
Her arms must be really tired after T-posing for who knows how long.
So, how big *was* that fish, Gren?
t!
Who woulda thought beholders could be so huggable?
I imagine it’d be like hugging a big warm pile of rocks. But Gren’s emotions transcend.
Ow. My heart.
Iβm glad I finally caught up with this page! Itβs always a fantastic comic!
Thank you, sir! So very kind! π
D’aww!
Plus- shameless Pokemon Go plug- but I need friends too.. so there! π
I don’t think that counts as a plug since I’m not making any money off that as advertising… but since you brought it up…. HEY NIANTIC! I NEED SOME CASH!
Watch Out for the TOP COUPLE!
You’ve added a friend 4 years later (on his first crawl through the story!), assuming you’re still playing. π
