It’s not a good place? I’m calling hypocrisy:

And while I appreciate Cadugan’s concern, considering the fate of the world (to say nothing of the infernal and celestial planes) is literally at stake–if not now, then when?
Plot armour doesn’t *always* protect you.
And, while "Love is a Battlefield" is more appropriately thematically, I was thinking ironically of the Thompson Twins:
"Well it’s fun to think that I’m having the time of my life,
And it’s true if all this around us is paradise, paradise, paradise…"
(In the name of love–yeah!)
Also had Ghostbusters on the brain for no particular reason, so there’s that.
Awww.
Wouldja believe I was going to make the exact same comment at the exact same time, but somehow mine never got posted….?
Not a complaint; just surprised mine hasn’t shown up.
Huh! o.o
Ccccccaaaaaaannnnn yoooooouuuu ffffeeeeellll theeee LOOOOVVVVEEE on the Battlefield?!
To be fair Cadagun, if you just stand up they’ll be out of your eye level and you won’t have to see it.
I think it’s less he doesn’t want to see it and more that the middle of a battlefield isn’t a good place to be kissing passionately.
Let’s see if he holds to that when Lucas shows up 😛
No? In the movies it always work. 🙂 Actually, according to movies, any place can be a good one for passionate kissings…

Time and place, people! Time and place!
Life is short, especially in a major land war. Smooch while you can.
Checking your six before smoochin’ increases the likelihood of living long enough to get in a few more smooches before your time’s up.
Oh Cadugan, you grumpy voice of reason <3
Stuff like this is why there’s always a population explosion after a war.
I thought wars tend to cause a _decline_ in population?
At first, yes. But there’s always a Baby Boom afterwards, thus a massive increase in population.
it decreased quite dramatically for the Black mountain citizens, hopefully Ch’thier can do something about that once this is all over.
Cue Pat Benatar song: "Love is a Battlefield"
Or that Bruce Cockburn tune.
t!
I’m so glad that I’m not the only Oldie McOlderson who went there.
I remember the video for that song, I called it combat dancing.
This battlefield is the land of love. Who’s next?
Ranna and Godzilla fall in love and have sex in the middle of the fight, as do Lolth and the beholder king.
What did I ever do to you to make you hate me enough to give me that mental image?
He sees pretty well through the smoke.
Not a crit – I, too, believe in the Power of Love.
t!
All’s fair in love and war.
Young love!

The family moment has just been ruined but on the bright side, Cadugan could be looking at his future brother-in-law.
Awwww, this is lovely.
This is why I read your comic religiously, Mr. Morris!
Trying to think whether Cadugan ever heard their Mom mention Ryann by name…I think the answer is no, at least not on-panel.
