Right, I figure, when the magic left (for the most part), she could not maintain her hag form, and reverted to a human old woman. Either that, or the anti-magic field made her revert to default form. Still, rude of her to not contact Maula all this time if that is the case! I am sure we will see.
Lucas is still a werewolf and I believe can still shapechange, he mentioned in an earlier strip that he could feel the Anti-Magic bubble around the Cathedral was in place, probably due to him sensing the inability to change.
If Black Annie was masquerading as Azaelia Bunting, her default natural form would be her Hag form and Maula would immediately recognise her.
On an unrelated note One of the best Maula/Black Annie pages hasn’t been added to Black Annie’s Archive page: https://www.yafgc.net/comic/2827-the-plan-laid-bare/
Figured it might be useful to forecast a possible permutation of what’s about to go down. 🙂
Nvm, it’s there, just the order of comics presented in the archive is reverse to chronological order> previous comics to access newer comics for some bizarre reason. I’m gonna blame the Chaotic nature of the Black mountain for that.
Yeah, sorry about that. Something really irritating happened and for some reason the archive page no longer reads the number order of the chapter titles, but has sorted them alphabetically. It’s to do with the coding on the theme but I cannot figure out how to make it read the numbers anymore. I’m still trying though.
I do believe someone is going to find herself doused with a bucket of water when she opens the door to her room. Maula will no doubt be greatly surprised and wonder aloud, "Now, how did that get up there?"
That’s one way to solve the problem of dry air. 😀
Anybody else starting to wonder if the harpsichord was an actual accident, and not part of the murderer’s plan? It’s hard to plan for a bunch of monks leaving a musical instrument hanging in mid-air.
Oh, the shade!
I wouldn’t say shade… something tells me, Annie is there. Annie is a hag, and they are known to change their forms.

Wait… An anti-magic field in and of itself is magic. Did certain magics stay?

Did Black Annie death in the great war?
I forgot. Black Annie was the witch who lost to the dwarf’s adventurers’ group, wasn’t?
And some wrong come with Azaelia. It could be more sins from the past.
After all everyone have one.
Ah yes so very witty…now beat it lady
That seems harsh; what gives?
t!

As a tribute to Black Annie, i used "black" as the starter word for a word-guessing game. The hidden word was "death" 0_o
Enjoying the variety of expressions!
Excuse me but a post i write was under moderation and i didn’t know any more of it.
