Well, this could get interesting. I don't remember how much training Charles has in swordsmanship, but the elders have experience over his training, and numbers.
Nope. It was meant to mirror the Princess Adina intro panel at the bottom of srip 1451 (https://www.yafgc.net/comic/1451-royal-pains/), where she's singing the "Arabian Nights" song from "Aladdin", but I couldn't decide what pirate/swashbuckling song he should be singing, and then thought maybe it shouldn't actually be an actual song. So I made up some lyrics that ended up sounding a bit like "Barrett's Privateers" but aren't.

Charles, however, might have speed and flexibility advantage.
And intoxication advantage. Or, you know, lack thereof. Advantage.
Sober advantage.
I wonder if these thugs would be so willing to take on Charles if they knew he was Lucas's brother-in-law.
Caught up, finally! Wasn't expecting this bonanza of strips, but I'm very happy to see them.
This detour is getting interesting.
I just hope Charles isn't acting too impulsively. But then, he's a Hunter, so I'm sure he can manage to cope somehow. 😀
Hallek isn't meant to be a Dune reference, is it? 😉
(Not sure which one he is, but the sentiments make me think of old Gurney's –understandable–dislike of the Harkonnens.)
No it's not a Dune ref. I'd actually forgotten that name until you just reminded me.
Isn't she gone already? She dropped off Charles and went back to the castle.
Yes. But this guy saw them before she drove off.
If she were still there, she wouldn't be letting Charles fight her battles for her!
An NPC has become unhappy because it is in the company of creatures it hates
Boys, you done effed up. I'm not sure what would be worse for you. Maula finding out about this, or Flannet.
I always hoped having this comic in Ongoing would be more apt, thank you for the updates!
Why done't the dark mistresses wear clothes over their black suits? It would make them a lot less conspicuous.
They do, but one can only wear so much and they already have one full layer on.
Sometimes you just gotta stand your ground.

Are the lyrics a nod to something specific?
t!

For some reason he reminds me of d'Artagnan…
