> The Frantics recorded 2 versions entitled boot to the head, didn't they? (1 the martial arts lesson and the other being last will and testament).
More than that, even!
They recorded a song with that title; it was on the album of the same name (which included the martial arts lesson), and it was the outro song of their TV show.
Not consciously at the time, t!, but yeah, that's probably exactly where it came from.
"Boot to the head Nyaa nyaa
Boot to the head nyaa nyaa
Boot to the head nyaa nyaa
BOOT TO THE HEAD (BOOT)"
YAY! Yafgc is back! Now I have a reason to look forward to Mondays again. 🙂
Regarding the strips: she looks a lot like Adwen. But she seems to be too old to be her daughter. Unless some stuff happened offscreen, about which we didn't learn yet…
Which is why this “teh greatest duellist here” gimmick is little more than wearing a T-shirt with big target circles on both sides. Both for the upstarts who crave fame, and for anyone in the same or better tier who may get irritated by his antics.
It went much the same way in every place where it was tried enough.
And because it would be inconceivable to not include the quote…
"…why are you smiling?"
"Because I know something you don't know."
"And what is that?"
"I am not left-handed."
She has arrived.
If she beats him, he can still claim to be the best swordsman; just not the best swordsperson.
First, he assaults a child then he loses to a woman? Oh, how the mighty are falling.
An absolute legend in his own mind.
She looks like she needs a wyvern to ride on.
Two new strips in less than a week. We are on a ROLL!
Is this title a Frantics reference?
t!
Nah, variation on "Boot to the Head!"
Also direct follow on from the last panel of last strip.
The Frantics recorded 2 versions entitled boot to the head, didn't they? (1 the martial arts lesson and the other being last will and testament).
And yay, Rich and most people are returning! Waves frantically and squeals in glee

Yes, dear, I took all of *that* for granted.

The sweet wine that was in the cup made it a…
… brut to the head.
Oooyyyyy….. nicely played.
So magnificent, i couldn't respond, just enjoyed!

Yeah, I thought that’s Adwen herself.
She is taller than Adwen and her face is less round.
Step to the left, step to the right, tap on the shoulder, lunge, spin around and thrust sword between the eyes. The unbeatable fencing attack.
Yay! Nice to see the strip updating again.
Is it just me or does The Woman look like Adwen?
It's an unfortunate coincidence. I've got to work on my facial variations. I get lazy and keep drawing the same faces a lot.
The hairstyles could always use more variety, too.
That's a tough call because I need that one the way it is. Story purposes.
Oh my!

Goblet, Gauntlet…either way, it's a challenge.
I didn't know that woman… but i bet is someone we are saw before (or a relative)
I don't think y'all are noticing she's holding the rapier in her left hand.
Ooooooo!

"I am woman, see my sword…"
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means
