Part 2: Mogwai.
So, this time the PCs were being shipped to another colony on another planet in a starliner.
"Can I play?" asked I.
"Uhhhh..." said the GM. "Well, okay but you can't play a zombie."
"Fair enough." replied I. "Can I be a Mogwai?"
"From Gremlins?"
"Yeah."
"Uhh..." he considered, "Okay, but they KNOW the RULES."
"Okay."
We made up a Mogwai character and I was introduced. The rules were carefully explained to the other players who nodded their understanding.
I waited until conditions were right (an estimate of the distance required to filter out enough solar radiation to simulate "after midnight" on Earth) and begged my keeper for food. He complied thoughtlessly.
I cocooned that night.
By morning I was a Gremlin. I climbed into the air ducts, found the engine room, locked the ship into a circular course and jumped into the swimming pool.

The GM ended the game there (mostly disappointed in his players who not only couldn't figure out WHAT had happened, but were incapable of dealing with the situation) and had them all make up new characters.

TBC ->

Part 3: Evil Time Lord.

So the players had a whole new cast of characters and were ready to play again.
"Can I play?" I asked.
"No." said the GM.

Too bad, too. I had a great idea for a character.

Good story!

But you were a baaaaad Mogwai! The one from the movie never would have asked to eat something after midnight. It was the mischievous second generation ones that wanted to be bad <g>

(I can see you in the next campaign, going all Valyard on them)

Actually no, I was playing a minority Mogwai. Problem was that on the spaceship there was no way to know whether the conditions simulated "midnight" or not. I, the player, engineered the mistake. The player I was manipulating didn't seem to really 'get' the clues and hints the GM was dropping. Nor did he really seem to understand or care about the consequences. Heheh.. I taught him.

So the Mogwai instinct to not eat after midnight :snooty: :sundae: was intact - but you made sure it was confused and begged for food anyway.

Is your argument that your character was nice, but you were evil?

This tends to happen a lot with him.

And yet I still play in his games as often as possible... I must be crazy.
