A discussion for anything related to the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Anyone here a fan of Freddy Krueger? Anyone?

Not me. Nope. I remember listening to my friends talking about the franchise and getting nightmares from the description alone. Though i admit it gave me interesting ideas when i started DMing.

This is quite the tangent! But since it's come up, yes indeed. I love the old 70's-80's + slasher flicks. Wasn't terribly impressed with the recent reboot.
LOVED Freddy vs. Jason, how they managed to recapture the atmosphere of both franchises and make them work together like that. Though I was rooting for Jason.

You like Freddy vs. Jason too? So do I. :)

And I'd like to say that the original film isn't just one of my Horror films but it's one of my all time favorite films, period. Yes, I said that.

They're all pretty good, though "Freddy's Revenge" and "Freddy's Dead" were sub-par by a long shot.

Actually, "Freddy's Dead" was pretty damn awful.

I'm a little bit older school, though, and have to rate them a little bit lower than the others slasher series, F23 and Halloween. I rather like the "Child's Play" films, though "Seed of Chucky" was TERRIBLE.

What did you think of "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2"?
"Mary Lou vs. Freddy" would be a hell of a good time! As t'were.

I still need to see Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2. I'll say this though, Freddy's Revenge is the film I depise the most. Inconsistancies, ridiculous scenes and Big Lipped Alligator Moments, nothing made sense.

And I consider Freddy's Dead to be a guilty pleasure. Didn't know Freddy was a Nintendo fan.

Well, no horror movie is complete without a cameo from Roseanne Barr.
